Tax structure/system Review Page

Arguably a tax system’s structure is its most integral part, perhaps the most critical to how it functions in redistributing wealth. Yes, providing the incentives of tax credits for desired behavior or initiative is well worth keeping, but the primary function of the tax system, bernmeister believes, is to help allocate resources so all levels of wealth participating — the poor, the middle class and the wealthy — may function optimally.

His M Monetary System (MMS), bern believes, will ultimately be able to bear the largest responsibility for increasing the size of the economic pie in a given country [participating in the MMS system]. However, a better designed tax structure and system can be helpful in reducing waste and promoting efficiency.

Release of bern’s work here (substantially developed but in need of rewrite into a final draft) has had to be delayed due to focus on fighting the global pandemic with an emphasis on MMS.

With release scheduled for mid 2023, shortly thereafter, academic review of bernmeister’s tax structure/system should begin in earnest as soon as possible. Update on who will coordinate that review [yet to be determined] and how it is proceeding, will be posted here at this page.
